Man-Made Marvels - Taiwan Tunnel
This is the story of the Beiyi Freeway; the road they said cannot be built. To build it they'll have to make seven major river crossings and bore through five gigantic mountains including the biggest of them the gigantic Hsueshan mountain that rises several thousand metres into the crisp mountain air. It will mean building the longest road tunnel in Asia through some of the most challenging geology ever encountered by tunnellers and that's where the challenge in building this highway really lies.
Mediafreaks produced a series of 3D and 2D animated CG sequences showcasing the subject of the episode for this joint production between Beach House Pictures and NHNZ.
